The original BlackTip (now the BlackTip Travel) was designed to be a low-cost, recreational, and travel scooter. To that end, it had to be as lightweight as possible and work with any and all DeWalt battery packs. The BlackTip scooter series now includes three models: the original, compact and lightweight TRAVEL scooter, the neutral and trim TECH scooter, and the EXPLORATION scooter for those who push the limits.
Weighing in at just 24lbs, the BlackTip Travel combines the best of Dive Xtras' powerful scooter performance with a lower cost and more travel-friendly design! Cruising at 150ft/mi, the 5Ah battery will last 50 minutes, the 12Ah, 123 minutes.
With a fully trimmed out scooter body, the BlackTip Tech is ready for anything! Tackle any technical dive with ease, thanks to our longer, more balanced scooter design.
If weight and length are not critical and you would like a scooter that floats trim, the Tech model is the best choice. It works best with 9 and 12Ah batteries, floats trim and neutral, and comes with an integral fresh/saltwater trim plate.
With a longer body tube supporting double the battery capacity, the BlackTip Exploration takes our BlackTip’s design further than ever before!
If you need longer duration than the other models, then the Exploration is the best choice. It’s a lot bigger and heavier, but fits four 9/12Ah batteries for double the range and runtime of the other batteries.

Regulators
HOG Reg Set
Complete regulator set with one first stage, one second stage, and a gauge cluster.
HOG has two models of first stage and two models of second stage to choose from. All four are shown in the two combos to follow. This package can be made with any combination of models.
We recommend buying a DIN first stage and a DIN to Yoke adapter, so your regs can grow with you.
This is the fixed turret D2 first stage in yoke paired with a Classic second stage. We recommend buying a DIN first stage and a DIN to Yoke adapter, which would still leave this as the smallest first stage in HOG's line up. The second stage is just as adjustable as their Zeniths but slightly more affordable.
Our favorite set is this rotating turret D3 first stage in DIN paired with a Zenith second stage. This is HOG's bullet proof, cold water, deep cave, life support Regulator combo. Both stages are balanced giving the best work of breathing we have seen in years.
Recommended Accessories
A similar version is included in our Advanced open water package, and they are bright! This has a removable rechargable battery and a button switch. Ebay might have some decent lights but we can guarantee this one will not leave you stranded.
